Social Projects
Clean Scene
Our volunteers tirelessly work on special projects to clean targeted public spaces. We aim to clean up the schools, parks and streets that we reside in. We have started with a street and a river in central Durban where we have cleaned up the area as well as planted more trees and plants in the public space. From here, we plan to expand the project further by cleaning the water bodies that feed the Indian Ocean – and the Durban Harbour. We welcome assistance from volunteers, corporates and businesses that are operating in the area. We also welcome government and local municipality to assist is possible – we however do not reply on government in fixing any issues. We, the people are doing it for ourselves. Join us in making our home clean and beautiful once again.
Hair Me Now
Hair for Care Project – we have partnered with local salons and beauticians on this project. We collect long hair that has been carefully cut, and then pack and send these to be used in the manufacture of hair wigs for people living with cancer – giving them a small part of their dignity and confidence back. In today’s world, we’d like to remind all that Compassion and Care does not have to cost money. Be good, do good, be compassionate. Interested in donating your hair? Contact us to arranage for an appointment at a salon nearest to you.
Cancer Care
For the past 10 years we have been assisting cancer patients in dealing with the illness. We provide councelling, advice, dietary planning, and pain management using natural methods. We have launched a cancer support group that meet regularly at our offices.
Modelity
We are based in the creative hub of Durban and work closely with some of the largest modelling agencies in Durban and South Africa. As such, and as part of our ongoing strive to create opportunities for those that see no light at the end of the tunnel – we have launched a program that places capable individuals with dissabilities (or better known as differently abled bodies), in modelling agencies. This helps in bringing down the gap between unemployed people with dissabilities, as well as giving them hope, confidence and courage by earning their own income – this way they feel more as a contributor in society instead of those that only depend on others. Giving back to others on it’s own is a very powerful healing act that has a ripple effect benefiting much more than you think
